Queer Azeri filmmaker, born and bred in the wet and windy wilds of Devon - don't worry, I'm as confused as you are. A film, TV, doc and commercials writer/director with a big love for weirdos and unusual ways of looking at the world. I make high-energy, strange, punk, emotional, dark, grounded genre stuff with a twisted sense of humour.

Directing side of things: selected for the 2021 Netflix HETV Director's Mentee Scheme shadowing Will McGregor on LOCKWOOD & CO (prod. by Edgar Wright and Nira Park); and the 2022 Disney+ HETV Director's Mentee Scheme shadowing showrunner J Blakeson on CULPRITS (prod. by Stephen Garrett and Morenike Williams), where I also directed 2nd unit. Following my work on this, in 2023, I directed 2nd Unit on Guy Ritchie's Netflix/Moonage Pictures show, THE GENTLEMEN (dir. by Eran Creevy and prod. by Laura Jackson). Most recently, I directed 2nd Unit across all 8 episodes of Apple+/New Regency show PRIME TARGET (dir. by Brady Hood and prod. by Laura Hastings-Smith).

Writing side of things:
I've had shows optioned by Watford and Essex (THE SPANISH PRINCESS), Paradise City (CALL ME BY YOUR NAME), Memento (120 BPM), and a feature in development with Erebus Pictures and Joi Productions (BFI Vision Awardees). My scripts have placed in the top 1% of BBC Writersroom and been shortlisted for the Dancing Ledge HETV writing mentorship scheme, so can't be complete shite.

For my fiction work, I've won awards from the BFI Future Film Festival (Best Fiction Film), Encounters Film Festival/Fresh Flix (Emerging Talent) and
Media Innovation Awards (Best Newcomer); while my grad film was nominated for Best Post Graduate drama at the RTS awards; and I was mentioned in The Guardian as one of 'Five to Watch'.

For my commercials work, I was Senior Director/Producer for the team that won ‘Branded Content Team of the Year’ at The Drum Awards; have amassed 850+ million views across my commercial portfolio; and won a Social Lion for the 'Little Casanova' campaign at Cannes.
